Time to update those bookmarks and subscriptions. There’s a new blog in town.

It sounded like 2009 was a fast one for a lot of people, myself included. In a way, I’m glad it’s over. I’m ready for a new decade, a fresh start. Hello 2010. I hope everyone rang in midnight with smiles, good times, and maybe even a kiss. Here’s to a new decade, a new year, and new beginnings. I actually gave myself a couple resolutions this year:

1. Blog at least once a week. This clearly did not happen lol.
2. Get organized.

Foremost, happy 4th of July.

So what’s new with Kirby? A lot of business, and busyness too. A few shoots lined up for July, which I’m very excited about. But time has been tight. Working a day job while single handedly running a photography business on the side has proven challenging. At the same time, it’s been nice to take a break from charged shoots and reorganize perspective on what I want my business to be. From branding to creative vision. I am excited for the future. Some frames from a nice little beach in Carlsbad. Very quiet, a lot of squirrels, and people parked for lunch. The cliffs had an awesome view of the pacific ocean and you can walk down to the sand below. Apparently, it’s quite the spot for locals and tourists.

In other news..

I designed the new Colorati banners on theblogisfound.com, which is the blog of world famous wedding photographers, Nate and Jaclyn Kaiser. These two are really great at what they do and have inspired more than many photographers. I actually saw Nate last week, we exchanged hello’s and intros. He seemed like a cool guy.
